Last days of Rome....

I can't believe our Honeymoon is already coming to an end. For a moment I almost forgot we had a normal life back in America after being spoiled out here in Europe for so long. This has by far been such an amazing journey for both of us and something we will never forget. We are so thankful to all our friends and family who helped this Honeymoon become a reality and can't wait to share all our photos, videos & stories with you!!!!!

Let's talk R O M E !!

WOW, our Hotel Suite at Babuino 181 is built for ROCKSTARS! Seriously this is most Luxurious and modern Hotel room I have ever stayed in. We were generously upgraded by the Hotel being that we are on our Honeymoon and even provided a bottle of Champagne. Our room is extremely spacious with a huge bathroom, walk in closet, king bed, couch, kitchen and desk. I wouldn't mind moving in if we could, lol!

Rome has been the perfect ending to our adventurous and relaxing Honeymoon. The food here in Rome is just complete comfort and deliciousness! We have strolled the romantic streets at night, took in all of the historical sites, shopped at open markets, wined and dined, added to my collection of hats, ate enough gelato to open up our own shop, witnessed amazing art and artists, treated ourselves to Italian luxury and so much more!

I can't wait to share this trip with you all!

We have 1 more day to take everything in... Enjoy a few photos and videos in the meantime. Chow!

From the Italian Coast to the City!

We have arrived back in Rome after spending 3 nights and 4 extremely relaxing days on the Amalfi Coast. The weather, views and towns were beyond breathtaking! We spent most of our time just catching up on sleep and relaxing in our honeymoon suite up in the hills of Ravello Italy. We stayed at a bed and breakfast named Punta Civita. Roberto and his family (wife, daughter, son, aunt, uncle, grandma) run this extremely welcoming and charming B&B. Jimmy and I have never felt such love and attention that we received during our stay from Roberto and his family. Home cooked breakfasts on their beautiful huge terrace every morning, a bottle of their home made wine, rides into town to get take out food, and they even catered to my diet and provided many healthier and delicious options of food . It was just HEAVEN! Besides the delicious homemade breakfast every morning, we also hiked down into the towns of Atrani and Amalfi to enjoy home made pasta and fresh caught seafood at night. The Amalfi coast is such a heavenly little place in the world and I hope to experience it again one day in the future. I leave you now with a few photos and video clips from our short stay in Ravello. Next up...Rome! 4 nights and 5 more days of our Honeymoon!!!!

French Countryside

It has been a few days since my last post but surprise...we are still alive haha! To be honest it has been very peaceful without cellphones, internet or even TV for the last 3 days in ST. REMY. I am blogging from the Nice, France airport right now with a view of the Mediterranean Sea. We have some down time before our little puddle jumper leaves for ITALY.

So...let's talk SOUTH FRANCE!

Most likely the most beautiful & peaceful countryside I have ever laid eyes on. Jimmy and I both agree that we would rather spent more days in the South of France and fewer in Paris. Don't get me wrong Paris is an amazing and beautiful city..but it is a city just like NYC. A beautiful but crazy, busy, hectic and crowded city. St. Remy was a nice break from the city. I highly suggest if you ever plan to visit France one day to make sure you vacation in the South of France and not just Paris, its an experience you'll never forget!

ST. Remy in a nutshell....

- 3 nights at Hotel Sous des Figuiers, rustic and artsy cottage
- Rented a car in Avignon for 4 days and drove all around the French Countryside visiting many small towns, restaurants and historical sights.
- Had by far the best meals in France and most likely our lives
- Experienced the famous and old school Wednesday Market in the town of St. Remy.
- Took a cooking class with a French couple (husband is a chef), toured the city of Avignon with them and enjoyed our meal together with amazing local wine.

And so much more! Sadly again since I only am able to post pictures with my iPad, I don't have many high quality photos to show you all or pictures of our amazing food in St. Remy (most days I left the iPad in our cottage). But I do have a few short video clips and quick photos I took when we were out exploring. So enjoy for now and I will update again when we are in Italy!

Last night in Paris!

I can't believe we have been in Paris for 5 days already, sheesh I felt like we just got here! We have been running around the city of Paris as if we were on the TV show Amazing Race! So much to do, see and eat! I honestly feel though that we have been able to accomplish just about everything on our Paris To Do List and we are very ready for a more relaxing vacation in the south of France.

Paris in a nut-shell.....

- 2 nights at the very posh Hotel Ares by the Eiffel Tower
- 3 nights at the very trendy and laid back Hotel La Maison Montparnasse
- Romantic afternoons in the park
- Historical Sites
- Exploring the neighborhoods of Montmatre, Marais and Latin Quarter.
- Pigging out on Tarts & Crepes
- Bargained a Parisian Whole Sale Store Owner for an amazing scarf discount!
- Wine and Dry Cider
- Enough Cafe' a.k.a Espresso to keep me up for years lol
- 5 course dinner by a well known foodie chef in a wine store
- Small hidden mom & pa restaurants on cobblestone streets
- Exotic and Ethnic Markets
- Finding out we are AWESOME at figuring out the Paris Metro. Piece of cake for Ex New Yorkers lol

so much more, etc etc!

We check out early in the morning after eating the Yummy Parisian breakfast buffet in the garden of our little Montparnasse Hotel.

Taxi to TGV high speed rail via Avignon in the south of France. From there we have a Car rental and plan to drive through the country to the small town of Saint Remy where our Bed & Breakfast is located. Wish us luck, should be interesting getting there!

Enjoy a few photos from my IPAD of our stay in Paris! <3
